HOW WE Think outsyde the box
Outsyde employs a “boots on the ground” approach when managing and preserving our properties. We utilize lidar satellite imagery to monitor forest growth on an individual tree basis and implement the necessary restoration techniques ourselves. It is our team’s direct relationship to the minerals of Outsyde properties that sets us apart—we’re not afraid to roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty.
Our methods of land preservation to maximize Outsyde property biodiversity include:
Every forest captures and stores carbon. Outsyde focuses on forest preservation and restoration because the more mature a forest becomes, the more carbon it can sequester. Optimizing the health of our properties enhances their carbon sequestering capabilities to increase the value of Outsyde carbon offsets.
Sustainable forestry is how Outsyde will perpetuate green investment opportunities as well-managed forests improve land values.
Attracting biodiverse wildlife to a property can create cash flow through recreational access. We have a proven track record of developing creative short and long-term access license arrangements for a variety of low-impact recreational activities.
Outsyde plans to implement small-scale (community) solar projects on our properties to generate clean energy which we can sell back to local communities. Outsyde is exploring Agrivoltaics, a technique used for co-usage of land for both solar power as well as for green agriculture. The coexistence of solar panels and crops implies a sharing of light between these two types of production.
State Revolving Funds will be used for establishing mitigation banks which will supply wetland offset credits, to ensure the protection of riparian ecosystems (stretches of riverbanks and watersheds) on Outsyde properties.
The Department of Treasury has made tax credits available that can lower the cost of borrowing to acquire land which enhances investor returns.
